Men, Women & Children~ The TIME WE HAVE
DEAR READERS,
I just have to share this with you! The time that we have...
ALOT HAS HAPPENED in your life and mine in the last week and a half!
Without knowing you, I know something has happened in your life because you're human! And and as long as you live, despite the plans you've made, the actions you are or are not taking, something is gonna come up. When it does, it will demand your attention! Whatever it is, good or bad it will force you to deal with it.
I KNOW in my life within these past weeks, things have happened that demanded my attention. Despite my focus on other parts of my life, like trying to get my finances in order, being a strong guide to my son and trying to move forward with obstacles threatening my journey...my life was interrupted. Life usually has a way of doing that, interrupting itself.
Last week, as my son and I were up preparing to take care of other parts of our lives, me with my errands and my son on his way to school that day. While we were getting ready, my son got a phone message that changed all of that ! The message was from my mother about one of my first cousins, who is a year younger than me. All people are special in their own right, but this particular cousin and I were once very close. She filled in as the sister I never had as a kid and it was she, of all people who was in the hospital from a stroke! When I called to check with her mother, I was told by her that my uncle also was in the hospital battling cancer and that he and my cousin were on the same ICU floor! WHAT? WHAT?
My son and I rushed down there as fast as we could! When we got to my cousins room, another uncle and his wife was coming out from visiting and he looked very bad with sickness too! Though this particular uncle is in his 50's, he walks as if he is in his 80's! He was taking baby steps, walking Slow and careful with his wife closely right behind him for physical support. Je...SUS! I was later told that he is really bad off as well, worse than I was told before.
LORD! LORD! THREE major sicknesses right before my eyes, ALL IN ONE DAY and all in the same family! I went back to see my cousin on Valentines Day. She is strong and hanging in there.
2 days ago also on Valentines Day no less, just before I went to see my cousin again, I got another shocking message from one of my co-workers. One of our former co-workers I had known and worked around over these past years, died suddenly on this past Friday evening. She was 52 years old. Her husband was on his way back home from being out of town. Long story short she died at the hospital without him being able to say goodbye. So people, take heed to what I"m saying to you! I hug my son (20 years old) ALL the time! He and I have learned to forgive each other quickly as well as others. We laugh VERY, VERY MUCH! We still have family time, playing games, going to the movies, eating out. We listen to each other as best as our patience will allow. We fight for and pray for one another. We make our time count with each other, our friends and even strangers. He and I concern ourselves with others. We very much giving gifts, even out of our little! Funny thing is, I've found that it doesn't even bother my son and I anymore, if our gifts go unappreciated. 'Cause we've also discovered the joy of giving!
Warning: Some people on the outside watching your life, may not understand your joy and find it annoying. That is not important! Start living and continue to live your life out loud. What is more important is how you use the time that you have! CELEBRATE LIFE while you still can!
Many, many of us make plans for tomorrow, next month and EVEN 2 years from now...but REALLY the only time that we have to live...is the moment that we are living it! Many have died in the NEXT MOMENT of their lives! So, check your thoughts about time! Time is precious! It's more precious that how many of us treat it! Value it more. If I may suggest, start by stopping yourself from running late for everything! Make use of it. Stop being lazy, moping about, dwelling in self pity. Stop wasting time by doing mundane things like staring at the TV day in and day out. GET UP! GET OUT!
More on the time that we have;
Regard better how you treat both people and animals for that matter! If you are a "playa hater" someone who picks fights and trying to tear people down, creating and spreading misery, then STOP IT! TIME will not wait for you either!
Every second that others have is the same second that you have! Live your life in greatness, joy, right purpose. You, we, and I were all born for a reason! Make your reason be a worthwhile reason. Forgive! Forgo!
Take back offenses from others that you feel have been perpetrated even against you! By the way, please note that some of the stuff you carry around against others, is really just you carrying them around! Many times we hold grudges against others and those people don't even know we are offended by them!
Release them and by doing so you release yourself!
For those you proclaim you love, do right by them. Be it your children, your grandchildren, your spouse, neighbor, boss, brother, sister, or cousin...Don't wait on them to make the first move to show love, concern or forgiveness. You also have the power to change things for the better.
YOUR LIFE is about what YOU do with it!
Make a serious effort Dear Reader to MAKE RIGHT DECISIONS, LOVE MORE, LAUGH MORE, USE YOUR TIME MORE WISELY, including to someone else's benefit. LET THIS BE YOUR LEGACY.
Life is precious. The time, the moments, the opportunities we have are precious, but also fleeting. Have no regrets. Keep your right promises! Do what you've only dreamt of doing! Stop procrastinating!
LIFE...YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU!
PLEASE use the time that you have on this earth, MORE WISELY!
FOR YOUR SAKE AND for THOSE AROUND YOU.
Meetta
