MEETTA'S READERS - HAPPY TUESDAY!

HAPPY TUESDAY, EVERYONE!

Happy Tuesday? You say!
Yes! HAPPY TUESDAY!

Some of you may say, what's to be happy about?
Maybe you are asking the question,
Meetta What are you happy about?

Well, I'll tell you.
For one thing, if you are reading this, then you are ALIVE!
Tell me, isn't LIFE something to be happy about?
And as along as you are alive, there is a chance for things to get better than they were
just yesterday!
Or maybe, just maybe,
if you are one of those people who already have enough of whatever,
then today, life has given you a chance to more of whatever (including joy) as you had yesterday!
Either way, Life has a way of just being a gift, no matter what!

I, for one, have brushed off yesterday, shaking off the old and walking into the newness of today.
"Cause when you get right down to it, the only time you have is the time you are living in.
And I REFUSE to waste any of my moments today, harping on the old of yesterdays past.
I got up this morning, had my prayer time,
brushed myself off, regained my focus and
I'm MOVING FORWARD!
JESUS IS LORD!

SMILE... and be happy you!
May the rest of your week be a Happy one too!

Men, Women & Children~ The TIME WE HAVE

  • DEAR READERS,
I just have to share this with you! The time that we have...
ALOT HAS HAPPENED in your life and mine in the last week and a half!
Without knowing you, I know something has happened in your life because you're human! And and as long as you live, despite the plans you've made, the actions you are or are not taking, something is gonna come up. When it does, it will demand your attention! Whatever it is, good or bad it will force you to deal with it.

I KNOW in my life within these past weeks, things have happened that demanded my attention. Despite my focus on other parts of my life, like trying to get my finances in order, being a strong guide to my son and trying to move forward with obstacles threatening my journey...my life was interrupted. Life usually has a way of doing that, interrupting itself.

Last week, as my son and I were up preparing to take care of other parts of our lives, me with my errands and my son on his way to school that day. While we were getting ready, my son got a phone message that changed all of that ! The message was from my mother about one of my first cousins, who is a year younger than me. All people are special in their own right, but this particular cousin and I were once very close. She filled in as the sister I never had as a kid and it was she, of all people who was in the hospital from a stroke! When I called to check with her mother, I was told by her that my uncle also was in the hospital battling cancer and that he and my cousin were on the same ICU floor! WHAT? WHAT?

My son and I rushed down there as fast as we could! When we got to my cousins room, another uncle and his wife was coming out from visiting and he looked very bad with sickness too! Though this particular uncle is in his 50's, he walks as if he is in his 80's! He was taking baby steps, walking Slow and careful with his wife closely right behind him for physical support. Je...SUS! I was later told that he is really bad off as well, worse than I was told before.
LORD! LORD! THREE major sicknesses right before my eyes, ALL IN ONE DAY and all in the same family! I went back to see my cousin on Valentines Day. She is strong and hanging in there.

2 days ago also on Valentines Day no less, just before I went to see my cousin again, I got another shocking message from one of my co-workers. One of our former co-workers I had known and worked around over these past years, died suddenly on this past Friday evening. She was 52 years old. Her husband was on his way back home from being out of town. Long story short she died at the hospital without him being able to say goodbye. So people, take heed to what I"m saying to you! I hug my son (20 years old) ALL the time! He and I have learned to forgive each other quickly as well as others. We laugh VERY, VERY MUCH! We still have family time, playing games, going to the movies, eating out. We listen to each other as best as our patience will allow. We fight for and pray for one another. We make our time count with each other, our friends and even strangers. He and I concern ourselves with others. We very much giving gifts, even out of our little! Funny thing is, I've found that it doesn't even bother my son and I anymore, if our gifts go unappreciated. 'Cause we've also discovered the joy of giving!

Warning: Some people on the outside watching your life, may not understand your joy and find it annoying. That is not important! Start living and continue to live your life out loud. What is more important is how you use the time that you have! CELEBRATE LIFE while you still can!

Many, many of us make plans for tomorrow, next month and EVEN 2 years from now...but REALLY the only time that we have to live...is the moment that we are living it! Many have died in the NEXT MOMENT of their lives! So, check your thoughts about time! Time is precious! It's more precious that how many of us treat it! Value it more. If I may suggest, start by stopping yourself from running late for everything! Make use of it. Stop being lazy, moping about, dwelling in self pity. Stop wasting time by doing mundane things like staring at the TV day in and day out. GET UP! GET OUT!

    More on the time that we have;
Regard better how you treat both people and animals for that matter! If you are a "playa hater" someone who picks fights and trying to tear people down, creating and spreading misery, then STOP IT! TIME will not wait for you either!
Every second that others have is the same second that you have! Live your life in greatness, joy, right purpose. You, we, and I were all born for a reason! Make your reason be a worthwhile reason. Forgive! Forgo!
Take back offenses from others that you feel have been perpetrated even against you! By the way, please note that some of the stuff you carry around against others, is really just you carrying them around! Many times we hold grudges against others and those people don't even know we are offended by them!
Release them and by doing so you release yourself!

For those you proclaim you love, do right by them. Be it your children, your grandchildren, your spouse, neighbor, boss, brother, sister, or cousin...Don't wait on them to make the first move to show love, concern or forgiveness. You also have the power to change things for the better.
YOUR LIFE is about what YOU do with it!
Make a serious effort Dear Reader to MAKE RIGHT DECISIONS, LOVE MORE, LAUGH MORE, USE YOUR TIME MORE WISELY, including to someone else's benefit. LET THIS BE YOUR LEGACY.
Life is precious. The time, the moments, the opportunities we have are precious, but also fleeting. Have no regrets. Keep your right promises! Do what you've only dreamt of doing! Stop procrastinating!
LIFE...YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU!

PLEASE use the time that you have on this earth, MORE WISELY!
FOR YOUR SAKE AND for THOSE AROUND YOU.

True Believer- "HALLELUJAH", Anyhow!

"HALLELUJAH", ANYHOW!

Whatever other words of praise and thanks you might give, remember and understand something. The word HALLELUJAH is THE HIGHEST PRAISE the you could EVER give God and bless the name of Jesus with.

This article is for the TRUE BELIEVER", one who has experienced the power of God. One who faith in him has already been established. Those that have conformed and are truly committed to living their life in a godly manner. They are committed to doing this based on the teachings, principles and knowledge according to God's way. This article is Also for the New Converts as well. Usually I direct my statements for the two separate groups in my two different columns under those same names, True Believer and B.I.B.L.E. But in this, because of the subject matter in this article, I feel compelled to acknowledge both groups of people at the same time.

The New Converts in Christ or 'babes in Christ', are the ones I refer to in my B.I.B.L.E column. Those who are just coming into Christ and still learning that the Bible is Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth. As a proclaimed faith believing follower in Christ Jesus and God The Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, I want to ask you something important. But first, I want to say this...
WHEN THINGS ARE GOING GOOD, IT'S EASY TO to give God praise!
It's easy to say THANK YOU JESUS, and feel that sincerely in your heart.

But what I want to challenge you to think about is What is your attitude and heart feeling when things are not going so good?
The other part of the TEST OF THE TRUENESS of YOUR FAITH, is shown by how you act and what say. When life starts to again to prove challenging, ESPECIALLY WHEN THINGS ARE GOING TERRIBLY BAD.....
When things are SO bad, you got to reach up just to touch the ground!

While you are in "The basement of your life"
WHAT IS YOUR ATTITUDE LIKE?
While you are going through your problems, how are you dealing with it?
What are your actions telling God and Jesus about YOU?
What do your actions REALLY say about you through the eyes of others?
Because trust me on this...somebody is ALWAYS watching you! Especially if they know you are a proclaimed God believer! Could be your mother, your kids, your spouse , co-worker or neighbor. And I'm not just talking about non-Believers. Godly believers, including Christians, have been known to quite hard on God's own people. Those Jesus chose to draw near to just as they proclaim he has drawn near to them! So,think about what I'm asking you real carefully. Take your time with this and be honest!
Nobody is around you checking you, pointing fingers and judging you in this.
So take the time to carefully examine YOUR OWN WAYS. Don't let yourself get side tracked with thoughts of someone else's faults. This examination is for self!
And also remember that YOUR RELATIONSHIP with God is just that.. YOUR RELATIONSHIP! So, you will be directly helping yourself by being honest. Be honest in your faith and honest about your attitude in how you deal with certain things.
In Truth, is the only way that Jesus can truly work on your behalf.

See, I've gone through my fair share of problems just like many of you. Going through some now, just like many of you! I NEED a better paying job! Especially one that will allow me to use my gifts and talents with growth opportunities and decent affordable health benefits! Though I possess office and Customer Service skills on a variety of levels. I enjoy what I do now. For the last nearly 7 years, I've been a part-time Professional Public Speaker / Presenter. But I need more opportunities as I desire more from life. NEED an affordable house of my own, to make into my home. I've rented apartments since I was 19, my entire adult life, up until these last few months. And I need my own home like RIGHT NOW!

I never had my own home! And I find it most necessary at this point in my life! I want to be financially independent, in part because I want to be able to help my only son get established. I also have a great desire to become more of a giver! I'd love to be able to buy vehicles, homes and other necessitates for others in desperate situations as well! See reader,
I have angst about things too! But as a "child" of God, giving way to him as my spiritual Father, I know who is going through my problems with me! So, I am not afraid. "If God be fore me, who can be against me". I read and trust in his divinely inspired word. I trust in his "speaking" to and guiding my spirit, giving me knowledge and discernment. I trust in his chastisement of me, for my benefit and the perfecting of me in his eyes. So, though it bothers my flesh sometimes what negative things people have done, do, said or say to or about me now. I know that with people, my life is not the be all nor the end all! There is a higher power that knows all and sees all. A being that we are to reverence beyond people! God uses his power, might and wisdom for righteousness sake, not to selfishly destroy or tear down! He desires the best for us. His word says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you, nor leave my seed begging bread." It is us who turn our back on him! Yes! Bad things happened to "good" people. By the way, there is only one good person, that is God according to Jesus own inspired words. Not even Jesus would take credit for being called "good"!

Moving on. I learned A LONG TIME AGO, that sincere, earnest Praise to God, will not only get you out of yourself, it will help open up doors for you in the spiritual, then the natural. True Praise will get Gods attention!
It will usher you into God's presence, keeping you closely connected to him. That kind of connection will help bring about JOY in your life and will help to establish and sustain it within you. That Godly connection between you, God the Father, God The Son and The Holy Spirit, will provide you with continuous comfort and help. The kind that will help you up, out and over some major messes that you may not otherwise be able to make it through, in tact! It will keep your mind at peace.

I also need to tell you this Dear Reader. Have to mention Prayer in this article along with praise. Both are essential and are thee major ways to connect with God. These are must do's, if you are Godly believers and those who are seeking him. There is a such thing as praying amiss. Amiss prayers are not prayed in the spirit of God or in the will of God and therefore are not fruitful in their results. Like prayer, praise that God embraces and honors has to be sincere and true as well! That kind of praise, he considers it to be like a "sweet smell." Now, can you imagine that God is so taken with your praise, that he considers it a sweet smell? Think of when you smell a beautiful fragrant flower. That fragrance is hard to ignore! So much so, that you want to keep smelling it over and over again, because you can't get enough of it! You may even buy some to take them home to fill your home or other personal space with the fragrance, because it is so beautiful. You may even purchase some of those flowers to share with others, perfuming, beautifying their space!

Now, knowing or having read that God is greater than people, and he absolutely enjoys being appreciated and revered, imagine this! Imagine with all his power... power to heal the sick, power to resurrect the dead even, power to cause miracles including saving nations from utter annihilation (Israel), power to save souls from eternal death with just one word, power to edify you before humanity including your enemies, power to feed, clothe and provide for the poor etc...
Considering all of that, how MUCH MORE then, could he do for you and others because of your sweet smelling praise of him? Hmm!

FOR YOUR OWN SAKE Dear Reader,
whether you are a True Believer or a new convert.
I HOPE YOU HEAR WHAT I'M SAYING.

SOCIAL SCENE- PICK YOUR BATTLES

Dear, Precious Reader,
In a world full of conflict, I feel the need to remind you of a simple lesson.
It is a lesson that I was taught several years ago by a very, very wise, loving person who saw the need to protect me...even from myself!

"LEARN TO PICK YOUR BATTLES.
... DON'T LET THEM PICK YOU! "

See Reader, recognize that we live in a world full of billions of people who think differently, who want different things and have different ways of going about them. All those people, each with their own personality ( Some have more than one!) missed in with different cultural groups, different life principles and family teachings and we are all supposed to figure out how to deal with each other without losing ourselves in the process. Conflict is always and has always been inevitable. So, the thing is, if you are open to every ( E..V..E..R ..Y) battle that comes your way, you will also inevitably wear yourself down!

The greatest warriors in history were masters at picking their battles! They were master Strategists on war tactics. They understood proper positioning of their soldiers against the enemy was important. They understood the strengths, the weaknesses and abilities of their soldiers and how they could best be utilized. Remember now, the battles fought were also fought with the thought of self preservation. Everybody could not afford to get wiped out! The war and battle leaders needed to ensure that when victory was won, that they still had a healthy, right minded army available. They needed them available to protect the kingdoms and to be ready and able to fight in future battles!

Inside of those war tactics, strategy, they understood also that the strength of the soldiers played a vital part in accomplishing victory. Soldiers are often switched out and relieved while other soldier s took their place for awhile. Rest for them was absolutely vital as well! Usually, war and battle leaders used the wisdom of strategy of knowing which battles to fight. War and battle leaders understand that conflict and battles are here to stay, as long as there are people on the planet, cause somebody is always gonna want what somebody else has! Somebody is always going to seek control of others! Somebody always wants to think themselves better than others seeking to prove somebody else less of a person! Somebody always wants to be right!

The issues of conflict are as old as the world is! Battle leaders knew it then as they know it now. This also includes those of us who are wise and paying attention! By the way, all of us are battle fighters, as we all have to deal with conflict at times in our lives. That's inevitable too! Because somebody is going to want something from you too that you are not willing to give them even on the level of life that you are, wherever that is! It's not always the rich and powerful who have conflict! Most of us face conflict with somebody several times a week. Others face it several times a day! Even children on the playground! So, what are you thinking?
Whether it be your attention, your possessions, your support that they seek. Conflict is sure to show up even it the issues concerns your affection, your happiness, your friendship, your mate or child. It seeks submission, control of you, even your peace of mind!... Whatever the thing is that they seek, that you are not willing to give!

Battles even arise in situations over your joy, because misery LOVES company! It loves it so much it will use & manipulate your co-workers, your boss, strangers, Preachers and regular congregants. It will use family members including your wife, your husband and children and grand children! Evil, is what misery eludes too because of it's destructiveness, doesn't care "whom it may devour" in the process! Not even you who gave it a foothold in the first place!

Conflict, battles...you have faced them and will continue to as long as you live. And I hope you live long! So, you have to understand the strategy of not letting those battles pick you, wearing you thin. If you let yourself be worn thin, you won't have the much needed strength to be ready for the REAL WAR when it is waged against you!
War leaders know you can't have your soldiers fighting all the time, exhausting them, exhausting finances, supplies, support alliances and exhausting energy unnecessarily. War leaders themselves needed rest in order to be spiritually, physically and mentally sharp as well! They also knew that part of an enemies strategy was causing Some "minor' battles or uprisings to distract their opponent, wear them thin so they could then go int for the kill. Therefore, the most effective war leaders had to know, which battles fight! They profoundly understood the utter importance of picking their battles instead of letting their battles pick them!

So, for your own sake, self-preservation and peace of mind...
You HAVE TO LEARN
which battles are worth fighting!

*Do you know the purpose of the battle you are thinking of engaging in?
*Weigh the benefits, the pros and cons.
*What will it solve if you fought this battle?
*Investigate what is really at stake?

*Know why you are fighting that battle!
*Understand what is the end result.
*What is stood to be gained by you,
by the people who are egging you on to engage!
Think about that person or those people.
What is their motivation? Consider that many of us wouldn't take on or even initiate certain battles if certain people weren't whispering in our ears!
If that person is you, you will undoubtedly do yourself great justice in questioning your own motives before you get yourself or someone else for that matter, in a battle where loss is not prepared for or can be accepted.
And be careful who you challenge in these battles because
you may not really know how they will respond! See, when people are pushed they tend to push back alot harder than you anticipated.
So, be careful of yourself and what battles you initiate and take on!

Reader,
for your own benefit I've taken this time to show you what some loving person, concerned about me, took time to teach me. Also trust that I have had moments of being challenged too! Serious moments where I WAS READY FOR A FIGHT ...only to have wisdom intercede. It brought discernment with it. It showed me some truths to focus on. Wisdom reached out, shook me, even collapsed me to my knees while it spoke that certain battles are not mine to fight. In such moments, it has even taken me to the point where I have literally cried out in victory, with strength renewed. I take to heart moments like those, allowing Wisdom to prevail. I have learned to pick my fights, not letting them pick me. By doing so, I am assured to be strong and ready when the REAL battles of life come again to wage against me.
Because Reader, there will always be another one to fight!

Wanting the best for you, Dear Reader
Meetta
