Have you yet figured out that your life is about the journey? Well, I have. On the journey, I have found many great lessons that I have continued to share. I would like to share some with you. One of my favorite sayings is, "To be early is to be on time, To be on time is to be late and to be late is unheard of".
Now before you say..."HUH?" Let me explain.
Say for example this is in context to timeliness pertaining a job. Most bosses are not OK with constant lateness. Running in just when you are supposed to be there...on time, then you've got to hang your coat up, use the restroom, sneak in that quick cup of Joe or swig of water, then breathless you step out onto the office floor or in your cubicle 10 minutes late...(technically).
But, when you get to work early, you do all these things..hang up your coat, get a cup of Joe, say hey to Harry ( the office sweetie who always brings donuts and really cares when he says How are you doing? and you respond back spilling out all of your secrets and problems, never having to worry about Harry spilling the beans), then you sashay by your bosses desk and on purpose let them know you are there 10 minutes ahead of everyone else. Today, you are not the one the boss is embarrassing in the morning briefing for delaying the office while we wait for you. Besides, when you are early, if something goes wrong while you are on your way, say you get a flat tire, then you have time to still make it to your destination in a timely manner. BUT...
If you leave just in time enough to get there and something happens then you may not be so timely and become late.
Late on the other hand, bosses don't want to deal with because it show IRRESPONSIBILITYYYYYY! Sing it with me now.."IRRESPONSIBILITYYYYYYY!
So my dear bloggers, take a lesson from my life and remember...."To be early is to be on time,
To be on time is to be late AND to be late is unheard of"
My dear friends this is the end of todays post of "Meetta Talks'
