TRUE BELIEVER - "...I WANT WHAT GOD HAS!"

True Believer,
...is where I speak to those who are of Christian faith, consider themselves followers of Christ and lovers of God. These are people who are not new to Christ and Godly beliefs. These are the ones who have studied, are studying , have applied to their daily lives the principles of Godly living. They have claimed to experience the power of God in their lives and consider themselves "seasoned" Believers.

Hello Readers!

...in light of economic hard, tough VERY HARD times & the holiday season people are giving. And even though people are giving, someone (a whole lot of some one's) will inevitably have a wrong attitude about receiving! I went through this myself, acting terribly! People act this way, (I know I did) because they may not get exactly what they want, the way they want it or even they way they think they need it, especially considering the source its coming from. Keeping in mind , they will act haughty or high-minded (we say snobbish), selfish and just plain UNGRATEFUL!

And by the way, Many of the people that are called to do Gods greatest works in the earth, in God's name, including in biblical days, were and are the lowlies, the forgettables, the dirty, the "wrong race" (people of an undesirable race ), the poor, the young, the old, the unpopular, those with abnormalities (like speech impairments), the underestimated ones...at least according to mankind's views!

More than not, did God use the lowlies and lifted them up high, than he used the already high and affluent to be the main leaders and disciples of his truly carrying out some of the greatest acts of his will. Don't believe me? Look around you! Read the stories of other people's lives in the church, across the world. Read up on others in past history who achieved great things and learn where they came from , what their struggles and obstacles were. Look in your own community, in your own past experiences! For further proof, READ THE BIBLE! If you aren't a scholar and can't get your hands on biblical scrolls, the King James Bible is another great source, the KING JAMES VERSION IS EXCELLENT Read your bible.

"I don't want what YOU have, I WANT WHAT GOD HAS!"
Question
How many times have you said, heard somebody say or have been told this?
It's like getting a slap in the face isn't it?
I personally have said this to people (in my lack of wisdom and Godly humility).
But it wasn't until the tables turned and I was desiring to be a giver of appreciation to some people that had blessed me so. It wasn't until one of them said to my face with a smile "I don't want what YOU have, I want what God has", it was then that I understood.
I didn't know WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE it was until it happened to me. HOW HAUGHTY that sounded coming from this persons mouth, another Christian believer! Though I didn't have much to give, I was willing to give a gift of sacrifice materialistically, and Jesus knew that!
But this is what was in my heart to do and with great peace.
This person knew I didn't have much to give in the way of material things either,
but they were looking at the vessel (me), and not the source behind the vessel!
And in essence the person was telling me, (I, another True Christian believer) with my God blessed self, that my gift was not good enough! Hmm. How bad I must have sounded to Jesus when I said that very same thing to others in the past!
How dare I say such a thing! who am I?
This has taught me a very good lesson for myself to grow in.
Lord, please help me to be a better me.

At that moment, after catching my breath and struggling to hold onto my right mind, and not "lay down my Christan tongue" to say a few things, I was reminded of the story of the man caught in a severe storm with rapidly rising waters. You know the story? Here's the condensed version;

This man with his whole heart and in great faith, prayed to God to send him some help. He believed God was going to do it! And so, God sent him first a raft, then a canoe, then a, crew with a rescue boat and the man sent them all away, saying "THE LORD IS GOING TO RESCUE ME AND SAVE ME FROM DEATH, SURELY" so the crew of the last boat after realizing the man was not coming with them and to save their own lives, they begrudgingly left the man to fend for himself.

As the waters rose and the man was forced to the very top point of the roof of his house, a last attempt of rescue, an emergency helicopter crew, came for the man and the man waved them off.
As the winds grew too strong, they too begrudgingly left the man to certain death.
Very quickly after that, the waters rose overtaking the house and the man drowned.
As the man's name was "written in the lambs book of life", as he was a saved true believer in Jesus and lived his life accordingly, when he went to heaven he said
"LORD I prayed! I believed that you would rescue me from certain death and you didn't?
And the Lord replied,
"Who do you think sent you the raft, the canoe, the rescue boat and helicopter crew?"

We talk so high minded as if Jesus or God himself is going to come down here and put our desires directly in our hands! (I know that's how I must've sounded!) We discount the "lowlies", the very ones empowered and sent by the spirit of God. We're SO high -minded (whether we know it or not) that we forget that the spirit of God, flows through people! People who are willing to be used as vessels in order to glorify God and spread his love of humanity through their lives, talents, gifts, finances...in every way! Jean, a dear friend and co-worker of mine, said to me some time ago, "some of us (Godly believers) are so heavenly bound, that we are no earthly good." She had no idea that she was talking about me! And because of shame, I never told her. Lord! Lord, Help us, me, get our feet back on this earth with our minds in tact while we are yet alive to do so!

There was a time that Jesus walked the earth (God in human form) then he ascended with the promise to return later. But while he was here, keep in mind that as powerful as he was, because there were SO MANY people needing him, much of the work was given to other believers to carry out! By the way, it is written that no human knows the exact date of Jesus return. If we could figure that out, we'd all be gods (Little g) and very, very, rich sitting in high places.

In the meantime, learn to connect truly to Gods spirit so you'll know for sure, that what has come your way, is truly a gift of the Lord. And for your sake and the sake of others you'll meet on your life's journey, take your eyes off how the gift is wrapped! Remember, God uses the lowly too!

With MUCH love and concern, Meetta
Happy Holidays people!
& Seek Godly humility.
