Dear Meetta,
I'm commenting on your post on the "SHE SAID" article,
(THE NATURE OF A WOMAN posted on November 28, 2009).
I am a person who had been employed with a well known company for 9 years. I never had a problem on the job,with any of the employees, until...this one young lady decided to cause a problem.
"SHE SAID" that I did something that wasn't true! The problem that "SHE" caused went all the way to Corporate offices! After she got through saying what "SHE SAID", I was fired!!! Fired from a managerial position ALL BECAUSE OF WHAT "SHE SAID."
I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT, they (corporate) believed what she said! As a result of what "SHE SAID", It's been difficult to find employment on the level of what I had! So, people, when you are in the work force, it's best that you go to work, do your job, AND LEAVE! DO NOT GET INVOLVED in the HE SAID, SHE SAID, THEY SAID!

I am sorry, VERY sorry to hear of your troubles! Hopefully someone will read this article and GROW! It is a serious thing when "SHE SAID'S" OPEN THEIR MOUTHS and speak.
"SHE SAID'S" can be SO CONVINCING! That as you read in the article, they can cause so much damage amongst sisters, mothers, friends and even cause men to abandon their children and families! Still, it is shocking that your corporate (Highly, educated business people) would fire you on the basis of what a "SHE SAID", said!
You also informed me that you were not given notice or warning! You mentioned that you were even told by management that "SHE SAID..." (Management used those exact words..."SHE SAID....") Shocking!
For the sake of the reader to understand your pain more fully, I am adding the additional words you told to me. You "went into work and was called into a meeting and informed that" you "were no longer able to work at that establishment." You also told me that the "SHE SAID" in question had personal problems of her own that may have affected her actions! I'm curious as to why that was not reviewed! Especially considering that you felt it necessary "to go to court to fight" for justice on your behalf!
In any case, I hope we all are learning something from your comment and from my article. Disastrous listening to "SHE SAID'S" is just that, DISASTROUS! This kind of thing truly affects many lives in all types of situations !
D.S. I've been thinking about the shock factor of the stand that some of corporate took against you. Maybe it's not so shocking! Especially, when you think about how people flock to bad news! Think about when there is a fire, in the area.
No matter the danger, people will unwittingly put themselves someone else in danger and cause crowd control problems, just to get a look! Think about all of the "entertainment shows" that center on destructive, often times un-proven "facts" about someone and see how fast it circulates! Have you ever thought about how they get to stay on the air for 5, 10, 25 years! It's because bad news attracts attention and attention makes money! Think about the evening news!
What about the rumor and gossip mill at your job, church, school! PEOPLE ENJOY DIRT, ESPECIALLY when it is about someone else.!
A majority of people flock more easily to the bad stuff, rather than take a positive viewpoint on the matter. 'Cause often times, the truth is not that exciting!
Based on the success of "Bad news" programming, books, movies, articles, etc..
It is safe to say that a majority of people "PREFER" bad news over good news and find it exciting or MORE INTERESTING, obviously! That's why they keep coming back to it! Bad news is BIG BUSINESS! That interest is also, why people like the
"SHE SAID'S" , gossip and rumor spreaders, have such a success rate creating the chaos that they do!
